The United Through Reading App facilitates the continuity of family reading sessions for military personnel regardless of geographical distance. Sustain the bond through storytelling by capturing video recordings of yourself narrating a storybook to your loved ones during periods of military commitment, deployment, training, drill weekends, or long work hours. The UTR App is a complimentary, secure platform accessible to active duty service members, veterans, and their families who complete registration via Troop ID on ID.me.

For three decades, United Through Reading has facilitated shared reading experiences for service members, transcending physical separation caused by military responsibilities through over 200 recording sites globally.

Key features of the United Through Reading App include:

 <li>Built-in viewer, festive frames, and user-friendly tools.</li>
 <li>NEW: Access to a collection of ebooks for immediate recording during storytime.</li>
 <li>Ability to register with Troop ID from ID.me to record, store, and share videos.</li>
 <li>Offline video recording with subsequent upload once connected to wifi.</li>
</ul>

The latest version of the United Through Reading App provides families with the following benefits:

 <li>On-demand online viewing or download for offline consumption of recorded videos.</li>
 <li>Opportunity to request a complimentary copy of the storybook read by the service member, facilitated by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
